Job Summary
Staff Developer / Development Manager, Application Security leading the security program across codebase, compliance, and team culture. Own roadmap, risk register, and SOC2/GDPR/PCI controls; hire and develop application security engineers; oversee security reviews for GraphQL API, Rails API, and mobile POS; drive vulnerability remediation, threat modelling, incident response, and release security in a fast-moving engineering org. Requires senior hands-on Rails/React experience, strong security communication, and cloud security expertise in AWS; familiar with PCI, GDPR, SOC2 compliance and cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Compliance, and Product.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of development experience with at least 3 years in security-focused roles or responsibilities
- experience building or maturing a security program
- strong Ruby on Rails and React/React Native skills
- hands-on AWS security experience
- deep knowledge of OWASP Top 10 (web and mobile) and API security patterns
