Staff Dentist

Job Summary
Provide comprehensive dental care including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up while maintaining effective relationships with patients and staff. Manage patient scheduling with the Dental Center Coordinator and Chief Dental Officer, supervise support personnel such as hygienists and students, and ensure accurate documentation of clinical records, charting, and billing. Comply with infection control policies and protocols, participate in quality assurance activities and provider meetings, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians. Maintain an organized work environment and perform other duties as assigned. This full-time role requires travel to various GLBHC sites and may involve extended hours. Bilingual candidates are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a U.S. Accredited Dental School
- Licensed to practice Dentistry in the State of Michigan
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Organized and detailed
- Effective communication skills
- Efficient typing and computer skills
- Flexible in day-to-day duties and responsibilities, and schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively with, and relate to, a diverse population in a professional manner
- Capable of taking initiative in day-to-day responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Must be able to sit, stand, and or walk for an entire workday
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and or twist while holding up to 25 lbs. frequently
- Full time; Flexible and varied
- Extended hours may be required
- Consistent attendance is required for this position
- Telecommuting is not an option for this position
- Travel may be required to various GLBHC sites
