Job Summary
Staff Data Scientist to own the sales analytics function within the Business Insights & Analytics team. Responsibilities include end-to-end ML-based sales forecasting (from feature engineering in Snowflake to deployment in AWS), churn and risk modeling, territory performance analytics across APAC/EMEA, and early-warning signal models to surface expansion opportunities. Will analyze quota attainment, territory performance, account health, and product adoption, translating telemetry into actionable insights and dashboards for senior stakeholders. Collaborates with Product and Software Engineering to define data collection needs and integrates pricing guardrails into CPQ workflows. Requires a Master’s degree in a quantitative field and 7+ years of relevant experience; strong SQL/Python/R skills; Salesforce CRM experience; data visualization proficiency (Tableau/Power BI); and ability to mentor junior analysts. Location: Pleasanton, California, USA. The role offers a base pay range of $198,500—$268,500 USD and is eligible for equity and bonus programs.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or MBA with a technical focus
- 7+ years of experience using analytics to solve complex business problems, including coding (Python or R), querying databases (SQL), and statistical analysis
- Production ML experience deploying ML models into production environments
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data manipulation and predictive modeling
- Commercial acumen with Salesforce CRM, sales quota/territory assignment, and B2B enterprise SaaS demand generation funnel
- Data visualization skills with Tableau or Power BI
