Job Summary
Design and actively build a comprehensive data platform; lead architecture and hands-on execution from the data platform side, writing core code and building tools to support workloads from operational reporting to complex analytical queries. Partner with product managers to translate objectives into technical strategies, lead engineering efforts, evaluate and adopt technologies, mentor engineers, and implement governance for data discovery, quality, and compliance in a financial-regulated context.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Architecture
- Experience with modern big data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies
- Hands-on experience with Data infrastructure (Orchestration, scalability, reliability, and cloud architecture)
- Data Movement & Integration including high-frequency batching, CDC, real-time event streaming
- Deep understanding of database internals; proficiency in Python and SQL
- Modeling & Architecture: dimensional modeling and schema design (relational and NoSQL); experience with Data Warehouse or Lakehouse architectures
- GenAI & RAG Expertise: experience architecting/building RAG pipelines, Vector Databases, Embedding Models, LLM Orchestration frameworks
- Business Acumen: translating business objectives into technical strategies
- Leadership and Communication: influencing engineering teams and communicating with C-level stakeholders
