Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain SQL database systems to support manufacturing operations, optimizing MS SQL Server, ETL/ELT integrations, CDC, replication, and GCP BigQuery DBT Data Models. Implement and monitor database solutions, including stored procedures, schema design, and API data contracts, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and facilitate data access. Develop monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and document best practices for DBA teams. Assist in maintaining PKI Hardware Security Modules for cryptographic operations. Prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment with a focus on detailed documentation and creative problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- fluent in SQL Server 2012+
- some DBA experience or knowledgeable in DBA best practices
- an understanding of replication
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- minimum of 8-12 years related experience
- Master's degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience
- PhD and 2-4 years of experience
- working knowledge with data management and other tools, such as Jira, Jama and Confluence
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Creative problem solver with attention to detail
