Staff Cybersecurity Engineer (SecOps)

Job Summary
Monitor and respond to security alerts from SIEM, endpoint security, firewalls, and email gateways as a Tier 4 SOC engineer. Execute incident response activities including discovery, threat analysis, correlation, response, remediation, and containment, often involving network and endpoint forensics. Lead an assigned SecOps pillar overseeing operations and technical implementations, while acting as a shift lead or escalation point. Manage security service requests, review malicious attachments, process firewall change requests, and drive remediation for audit and certification control gaps. Contribute to SOC processes, documentation, and metrics. Requires 8–12 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree; schedule includes US, EMEA, or APAC rotation with on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of SIEM platforms and security operations
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS, DLP, vulnerability scanning, firewall, endpoint security or email security systems
- Demonstrated experience in leading security projects and implementation
- Solid experience in handling, investigating, and responding to malware events, incident response, network and/or endpoint forensics
- Experience managing and securing Windows, Linux, and Mac systems
- Willingness to cover US, EMEA or APAC working hours following a sustainable rotation schedule and at times cover on-call duties
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- Minimum of 8-12 years related experience
- Master's degree and 5-7 years equivalent industry experience
- PhD and 2-4 years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in scripting (Python or PowerShell) and familiarity with Regex
- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, or malware forensics, or penetration testing
- Carry relevant security certification/s such as CISSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC, CEH, etc.
