Job Summary
Staff Attorney – Intellectual Property at Tyson Foods provides day-to-day legal support for trademark, patent, and advertising matters across the enterprise, focusing on marketing, innovation, and brand protection. The role handles high‐volume, execution‐oriented IP and advertising work, including domestic trademark prosecution (clearance analysis, filing strategy, and draft/sign USPTO Office Action responses), review of advertising claims for compliance, drafting and negotiating IP/advertising agreements, and advising business partners on applicable laws and regulations; travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- Two or more years of legal experience
- Experience with trademark prosecution
- Experience with advertising and marketing review or intellectual property support
- Ability to translate legal requirements into practical, business-oriented guidance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Willingness to travel between locations as needed
