Job Summary
Prepare monthly schedules for nursing departments and daily sign-in sheets two weeks in advance. Monitor daily staffing per patient plan and census to minimize overtime, reporting challenges to the Director of Nursing immediately. Conduct initial interviews, reference checks, and clinical orientation for nursing personnel, including EMR software training. Maintain attendance records, open position logs, and employee health requirements while acting as a Super User in the electronic medical records system. Accept staffing calls to fill vacancies and communicate daily staffing patterns to the DON. Ensure resident safety and support the facility mission through role modeling and education activities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Proficient in Microsoft office products, including Excel
- Experience in interviewing and hiring nursing department personnel
- Experience utilizing electronic medical records system
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer current licensed LVN in applicable state
- Experience staffing in a 24-hour operations healthcare setting
