Job Summary
Design and build automated security tools to establish self-service guardrails for developers, while triaging and resolving vulnerabilities across the backend stack by writing code to patch CVEs. Serve as technical lead for hardening AWS production environments and conduct deep-dive threat modeling and architecture reviews for high-impact systems. Partner with engineering teams to architect structural fixes and deploy foundational security frameworks protecting the platform ecosystem. This role requires 6+ years of security engineering experience with expertise in AWS, OIDC, SAML, OAuth, and Python, Java, or Node. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of dedicated experience in security engineering, application security, or DevSecOps
- Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OIDC, SAML and OAuth)
- Expertise in securing, auditing, and hardening cloud ecosystems, with a strong emphasis on AWS environments
- Experience balancing tactical, fast-paced vulnerability patching with strategic, framework-level remediation alongside development teams
- Proficient in writing production-grade code in at least one of our core backend languages: Python, Java or Node
