Job Summary
Lead or support engineering teams in producing high-quality, well-coordinated civil and environmental project designs for new developments, modifications, and redevelopments. Manage and coordinate all aspects of multidisciplinary projects, preparing design documentation including criteria, technical memorandums, reports, drawings, design packages, and cost estimates. Provide strategic planning support to clients, develop relationships, and participate in marketing, contractual, and design meetings. Review and guide junior staff, conduct internal training, and uphold QA/QC standards while managing scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client expectations. Uphold regulatory compliance and technical leadership within the Environmental Services team in Greenville, SC. Approximately 10% travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Civil Engineering (or related field) from an ABET-accredited program
- Alternatively, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil, or related Engineering Technology with successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- A Masters degree in Environmental Engineering may substitute for one year of experience
- Minimum 3 years (4 years preferred) of environmental engineering experience, ideally in consulting
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%)
Desired Qualifications
- FE/EIT certification preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with construction oversight and knowledge of construction methods and procedures
- Strong understanding of standard civil engineering principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact effectively with clients, regulators, and team members
- High attention to detail, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant engineering software
