Job Summary

Drive the cost, schedule, and execution of all engineering scope on a production program within Power/Control Systems, ensuring activities complete on time and within budget. Serve as the primary engineering interface to the Program Manager and functional organizations, developing and defending engineering proposal estimates and overseeing Control Account Management. Lead engineering Page and Line reviews, facilitate staffing plans and workload forecasts, and coordinate risk and opportunity identification across Integrated Product Teams. Provide engineering inputs to sector program execution reports and support schedule and financial updates for engineering scope. Perform in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, acting as the technical point of contact for executive leadership and customers.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance
  • Interim secret clearance required to start
  • Ability to work onsite in Sykesville, MD
  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, a master's degree with 10 years of experience, or a PhD with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields
  • Experience in systems development, integration, and test across the program lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated success leading high performance, cross-functional technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to act as the technical point of contact to Executive leadership and/or Customers stakeholder addressing technical requests and translating into actionable deliveries
  • Fluency with developing and executing project schedules

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields
  • ≥ 8 years of progressive engineering leadership, with ≥ 4 years in a Chief Engineer or equivalent role on complex, multi-year development programs (i.e., aerospace, defense)
  • Experience as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects
