Job Summary
Lead the staff community of 250 by promoting a positive culture, maintaining housing assignments via Microsoft Teams, and planning camp setup, takedown, and social events. Conduct daily checks and cleanings of bathhouses, laundry rooms, and common areas while ensuring accurate mail collection and delivery. Address staff concerns and conflicts promptly, uphold handbook expectations through regular housing inspections, and model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while performing additional duties assigned by leadership. Requires a valid U.S. driver's license, ability to hike up to six hours daily, and willingness to become a registered Scouting America member. Work 45-55 hours in a 10'x12' platform tent with a uniform.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 21+
- Valid U.S. driver's license and able to obtain a Summit Driving Permit
- Prior experience in residence life, camp housing, or staff leadership
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 6 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
