Job Summary
Staff Business Analyst - IT Infrastructure Planning supports manufacturing, R&D, regulatory, and information-security objectives in a fully remote capacity. Responsible for coordinating and maintaining a strategic IT infrastructure roadmap (servers, networks, cloud, data storage), conducting financial analyses (CapEx/OpEx budgets, ROI), and ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. Facilitates virtual workshops, develops KPIs, leads vendor analysis and contract negotiations, and drives risk management, business continuity, and IT compliance. Plays a key role in project management for infrastructure upgrades, documentation for audits, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, applications, and quality/regulatory teams. Requires strong knowledge of virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), MES, ERP (Oracle EBS), cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), ITIL, and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure planning
- At least 3 years in a manufacturing or regulated industry (medical device experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in financial analysis, vendor management, and IT risk management
- Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure components (virtualization, cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure, networking, storage)
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ERP (e.g., Oracle EBS)
- Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and system reliability planning
- Certifications in Scrum/Agile or PMP; ITIL Foundation or higher
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and remote collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with executives, technical teams, and external vendors
