Job Summary
Staff Bring-Up and Characterisation Engineer to drive bring-up and characterisation of Graphcore silicon devices and systems. Collaborate with Architecture, Silicon Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to create and execute characterisation plans, develop automated systems for running tests, and perform manual tests in lab and data-centre environments. Produce characterisation reports and integrate results into the overall product characterisation. Requires a proven ability to deliver technical outputs, strong understanding of silicon device design characterisation, familiarity with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, DDR), measurement automation and data analysis, and coding/scripting for automation (e.g., Python, JMP). Flexible, independent work style with the ability to work across multiple teams. Benefits include flexible working and comprehensive programs; location is Austin, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Experience delivering technical output (individual contributor, manager, or project manager)
- Solid experience and understanding of silicon digital device design characterisation
- Knowledge of silicon process technology and its impact on device performance at transistor and system level
- Knowledge of high-performance processor and SoC systems
- Experience of high-speed digital interfaces (e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, DDR)
- Knowledge of measurement automation and data analysis
- Ability to code or script automation and data analysis (e.g., Python, JMP)
- Ability to work independently without daily oversight
