Job Summary
Backend engineer for Global Operations Technology at Coupang, focusing on Java/Spring web applications, global operations architecture, and scalable system development. Responsibilities include designing and developing the Global Operations Technology stack (Front/Back office web services in Java), identifying and integrating multiple domains and dependencies, evaluating new technologies for efficient development and operations, and implementing algorithms to minimize cost for fast customer order delivery. Requires strong Java/Spring web app development, 7+ years programming, 5+ years in practical web development/operations, and experience with microservices, ORM (JPA/Hibernate), relational DBs, Git, and cloud/APIs. Preferred experience in cloud environments, event-driven architecture, automated build/test/deploy, NoSQL data handling, and Agile methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Java and Spring Framework-based Web Application development experience
- 7+ years of programming experience
- 5+ years of hands-on web application development and operations experience
- Git version control
- Relational database experience
- Object-oriented design and development capabilities
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Preferred: Cloud environment service development/ops
- Preferred: asynchronous Event Driven Architecture for high-volume processing
- ORM usage with JPA/Hibernate and domain modeling
- E-Commerce service development experience
- Build/Test/Deploy automation experience
- NoSQL (Memcached, Redis) for large-scale data processing
- Agile experience
