Staff Avionics Hardware Engineer, Interplanetary Sciences Program

Lead the design, development, and delivery of spacecraft avionics systems from concept through flight. Collaborate with propulsion, guidance and control, thermal, and software teams to ensure seamless integration and high performance. Implement robust design and test processes to guarantee reliability for deep-space missions. Own avionics hardware builds including PCB design, harnessing, embedded systems, and environmental qualification; coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage component selection, testing, and delivery schedules. Maintain design documentation, test plans, and reports while communicating technical information clearly. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of aerospace avionics experience; strong hands-on experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, embedded interfaces, and system-level testing; capable of working autonomously and leading cross-functional efforts.
