Job Summary
Interview clients, conduct legal research, and prepare documents including briefs, pleadings, and motions. Represent clients in trial, appellate, and administrative proceedings while developing strategies for case presentation. Review decisions and consult on potential appeals, and participate in external professional organizations and community outreach workshops. Complete administrative tasks such as timekeeping and maintain grant compliance. This full-time hybrid role serves low-income individuals in Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties. Spanish fluency is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- License to practice law in Pennsylvania or admitted in another jurisdiction and eligible for admission to Pennsylvania
- Must be willing to accept complex and challenging cases and develop creative strategies to assist clients
- Must be able to perform in-office work as well as be able to work remotely
- Must be willing to accept weekend shifts
- Must be available for hybrid work basis
Desired Qualifications
- At least two (2) years' experience as a lawyer preferred
- demonstrated proficiency in word processing, Outlook products, case management software, and online legal research tools
- Passionate commitment to public interest law and serving low-income individuals and vulnerable populations
- Strong written and oral advocacy and organizational skills
- Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred
