Job Summary
Record and reconcile daily cash receipts, donations, grants, and other revenue sources while preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger. Process bank deposits, perform monthly reconciliations, and balance sheet and income statement accounts. Track restricted and unrestricted funds, assist with month-end through year-end closing, and support financial statement preparation. Maintain supporting documentation for audits and grant reporting, monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions, and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and nonprofit regulations while collaborating with development and program staff. Support annual external audits and tax reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
