Job Summary
The role of Staff AI/ML Engineering Manager requires leading and mentoring a talented team of AI/ML engineers while engaging in hands-on AI/ML development efforts. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree along with extensive experience in AI/ML applications and a proven track record of leadership in technical roles. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, conducting performance evaluations, and delivering high-quality machine learning solutions using state-of-the-art techniques and tools. An active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership capacity
- 8+ years of experience developing AI/ML applications
- Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries
- Experience applying machine learning techniques and algorithms
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Active TS/SCI U.S. Government Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- MS or PhD in machine learning, computer science, mathematics, or related fields
- Experience directly managing AI/ML engineers, including performance management cycles
- Experience with Large Language Models and exploring their applications
- Experience with Transformer-based architectures outside of Natural Language Processing
- Familiarity with computer vision algorithms
- Experience with reinforcement learning and familiar tools
- Experience with various machine learning frameworks and libraries
