Job Summary
Staff AI Engineer responsible for developing and training cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms that leverage member platform data to deliver personalized recommendations. Role involves working with BIG data, writing production-quality code, collaborating with 10+ ML engineers to impact LinkedIn's newsfeed, and building scalable AI innovations with foundation and infra partners. Requires strong programming (Java, Python) and ML/NLP/data mining skills, experience with Spark, TensorFlow, and large-scale systems, and a track record of applied research or publications. Leadership or mentorship experience is preferred, with emphasis on analytical thinking, ownership, and ability to diagnose and automate tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions
- 4+ years experience with programming languages such as Java, Python
- 4+ years experience with machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval or natural language processing
