Job Summary
Staff AI Engineer role combining AI systems architecture and full-stack product engineering for CMG's AI & ML Platform. Own design, deployment, and reliability of LLM-powered features and agent infrastructure across CreateOS; architect AI agents, RAG pipelines, memory, and routing; ship production AI features end-to-end from data model to UI; mentor teammates; set architectural patterns and tooling; collaborate with product, M&A, A&R, and Marketing; requires 6+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years hands-on with production agentic AI/LLM systems; strong backend (Python/Node.js), frontend (React/Next.js), REST APIs, databases (PostgreSQL), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD; salary $190k-$210k/year; in-person Hollywood, CA office 2-3 days/week; fair chance policy noted.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years hands-on building production agentic AI or LLM-powered systems
- Deep proficiency in a backend language (Python or Node.js) and working fluency in a modern frontend framework (React, Next.js)
- Strong experience with RAG systems, vector databases, and embedding-based retrieval
- Experience designing eval frameworks for LLM systems
- Experience designing and documenting RESTful APIs
- Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL); comfortable writing and optimizing SQL
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Ability to operate with high autonomy and ambiguity
- Pay Scale is provided: $190,000 - 210,000 / year
- Must be able to attend in person in the Hollywood office 2-3 times per week
