Job Summary
Manage program-specific billing by preparing monthly invoices and following up on outstanding accounts receivable. Accurately deposit cash receipts, record donations with monthly reporting, and reconcile credit card expenses and assigned balance sheet accounts. Verify Certificate of Insurance descriptions for funders and provide backup coverage for Accounts Payable operations. This role reports to the Assistant Accounting Manager and Accounting Manager within a non-profit community psychology clinic serving Bay Area children and families. Experience with Abila MIP and G-Suite is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of accounting experience, preferably working with non-profits or healthcare clinics
- Strong understanding of the general ledger and accounts receivable
- Familiarity with GAAP and understanding of the accounting receivable cycle
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with computerized accounting systems, preferably Abila MIP
- Experience with G-Suite Applications
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Ability to prioritize and work accurately with close attention to detail, strong time management skills and an ability to work within defined deadlines
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work in-person at our Oakland, CA office (relocation assistance not provided)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field preferred
