STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary
Conduct thorough reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts, including cash, loan, prepaid, and fixed assets. Perform oversight and administration of the credit card platform, Ramp, while maintaining competency in Sage Intacct, Paycom, Ramp, and QuickBooks. Create financial dashboards to disseminate information and compile documentation for general ledger allocations between departments and project codes. Monitor aged receivables and payables, ensure accuracy of GAAP coding, and prepare labor distribution reports to support department spending activity. Perform quality assurance on monthly accounting cycles, maintain audit readiness for records, and act as a resource for organizational leaders on program financial matters.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and two to three years of accounting experience, or eight to ten years of experience in the accounting field, or any similar combination of education and experience
- Expert user of all software systems utilized in the finance department including Sage Intacct, Paycom, Ramp, and QuickBooks
- Knowledge of federal/state regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of Volunteers of America Northern Rockies policies
- Knowledge of grantor or donor contract requirements and intentions
- Understanding of GAAP/FASB requirements
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
- Ability to talk or hear
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Five to eight years of accounting, grant, compliance, and accounting experience
