Staff Accountant

Job Summary
Provide comprehensive support to accounting leadership; manage tracking and reporting for fixed assets and construction-related inventory; assist with accounts receivable and payable processes across a portfolio of properties; coordinate accurate tenant billing for recurring charges and reimbursable expenses; conduct periodic reconciliations for tenant accounts; monitor regular vendor reports to identify and address outstanding payables; investigate account variances, review ledger activity, and prepare necessary adjustments; contribute to balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, fixed assets, and other assigned schedules; support year-end financial reviews, audits, and tax documentation; develop and review annual budgets and long-range financial forecasts; collaborate with property managers, vendors, tenants, and other stakeholders; maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
- Familiarity with ERP accounting software is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with property managers, construction teams, vendors, tenants, and other stakeholders
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with a proactive work ethic
- Capable of working effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Resourcefulness in researching information and resolving issues
- Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement and innovation
