Staff Accountant

Own accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods while maintaining inventory records and supporting the average costing system. Prepare monthly sales tax filings across multiple states, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end close activities. Maintain general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Prepare schedules for financial reporting, audits, and management requests, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes. This role reports to the Accounting and Finance Manager within a team that has outfitted over one million members of the nation's workforce.
