Job Summary
Reconcile General Ledger accounts, prepare specialized customer invoices, and maintain records for fixed assets, pre-paid expenses, and roll stock purchases. Reconcile open, in-transit, and received orders for roll stock purchases and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Provide technical direction to other accountants and clerical staff while assisting the Director of Finance or Controller on special projects. This role supports financial operations within a manufacturing environment, requiring proficiency in ERP systems and strong analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to utilize accounting processes, plus add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure
- Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to stand, walk, talk, sit for extended periods of time, and do prolonged computer work requiring vision exertion
- Occasionally lift boxes of accounting records up to 30 Lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Experience with cost accounting and inventory management
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- CPA or progress toward certification
