Job Summary
The Experienced Staff Accountant will assist with monthly and quarterly financial statement closes for STX Entertainment, including journal entries (revenue recognition, amortization of theatrical, theatrical bad debt reserve, digital revenue accrual, reclasses), monthly/quarterly reconciliations, bank reconciliations, audit roll-forward schedules, GAAP research, and revenue recognition memo for new theatrical titles, with ad hoc requests to support Accounting & Finance. Requires Bachelor's degree; CPA desirable with 1-3 years of public/private experience in Entertainment; production accounting and NetSuite experience are a plus; strong Excel skills and excellent verbal/written communication.
