Job Summary
Own accounts payable and accounts receivable, including progress billing, insurance-claim invoicing, deductibles, and supplements. Perform job costing and maintain work-in-progress (WIP) schedules to ensure each project's true margin is visible in real time. Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts monthly while preparing division-level P&L and gross-margin reporting for leadership. Reconcile estimating and production data against the general ledger to catch leakage before it impacts financials. Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, then identify process improvements to scale operations. Work closely with Operations, Construction, and leadership to keep the financial engine running clean as the company grows.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Meticulous, organized, and self-directed
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, growth-stage company where processes are still being built
Desired Qualifications
- construction, restoration, or other project-based/job-costed industry
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (or comparable GL software)
- experience with construction PSA platforms and/or Xactimate
- Working knowledge of job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion concepts
