STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; reconcile accounts; and support close processes. Maintain general ledger accuracy by posting journal entries and ensuring proper coding aligned with company policy. Track production costs, analyze variances, and support inventory valuation for polymer manufacturing workflows. Process invoices, monitor aging, and maintain vendor compliance for accounts payable and receivable. Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting cycles, and departmental spend analysis. Support internal and external audits while ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policies. Identify efficiency opportunities, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting accuracy. Partner with operations, procurement, HR, and leadership to ensure financial clarity and support decision-making. Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week, on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or production environments
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting principles
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to analyze complex data, communicate clearly, and maintain accuracy under deadlines
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to high-quality financial work
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week, on-site (no hybrid or remote work)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in polymer, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, standard costing, and production workflows
- Familiarity with Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams
