Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries, maintain accurate accounting records, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts while preparing recurring financial reports and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Manage accounting for chemicals, equipment, fleet assets, and inventory, maintain fixed asset records, and assist with audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance. This newly created role offers one work-from-home day per week after an initial training period. Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must undergo a pre-employment background check upon receiving an employment offer
Desired Qualifications
- experience in a service-based, construction, facility services, or pest control industry
- familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics
- knowledge of inventory accounting or job-costing
- CPA designation or CPA candidacy
