Job Summary
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and balance sheet accounts. Prepare and post journal entries, ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Support inventory costing and analysis, prepare financial reports, and maintain fixed asset records. Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Located in Otsego, MI, with a salary range of $53,000 to $83,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles
