Job Summary
Manage accounts payable processing, accounts receivable collections, and corporate bank reconciliations while preparing and reconciling bi-monthly payroll entries. Perform monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate financial reporting, and support sales and use tax filings and compliance reports. Assist with customer and vendor onboarding, streamline accounting processes, and execute ad hoc projects as assigned. This hybrid role in Burlington, MA requires two days onsite with 10-20% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Hands-on experience across AP, AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support
- Payroll experience, including preparing and reconciling payroll entries
- Working knowledge of GAAP accounting terms and practices
- exposure to sales and use tax or other compliance filings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- High attention to detail, accurate data entry, and strong follow-through on recurring tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work independently, follow structured processes, and improve them as the organization grows
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner across Finance, HR, and Operations
- Experience owning the accounting function in a small or high-growth company
- Ability to learn new technologies as required, including openness to using AI tools to support reporting and workflows
- This is a hybrid role based in Burlington, MA, requiring two days per week onsite
- Travel (10-20%)
