Job Summary
Staff Accountant to support daily accounting activities and payroll processing, month-end close, financial reporting, and operational analytics within a multi-state pediatric therapy organization. Works directly with the CFO to maintain accurate financial records, support accounts payable and cash management, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, GL maintenance, monthly financial statements, payroll via Paychex or similar HRIS, therapist productivity tracking, bonus analyses, cross-department collaboration, audits/compliance support, and growth-related financial due diligence. Leverages AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy, speed, and consistency in routine financial tasks and supports automation of workflows. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 0-5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and effective communication; preferred experience with NetSuite and payroll platforms; healthcare/multi-location experience is a plus. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0-5 years of accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems (preferred)
- Experience with Paychex, ADP, Paylocity, or similar payroll platforms (preferred)
- Healthcare or multi-location business experience (preferred)
- Experience working with data analysis and reporting (preferred)
- Experience using automation tools, workflow systems, or AI-enabled finance platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (preferred)
- Ability to collaborate across Accounting, Billing, HR, and Operations
