Job Summary
Process weekly and monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable, prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and perform grant-related functions including reviewing agreements, reporting balances, and executing closeout procedures. Assist with recording, reconciling, and reporting revenue streams, prepare monthly financial schedules, and maintain vendor information and Form W-9s. Perform general ledger entries, batch data imports, and process annual 1099 forms, credit card bills, and tax worksheets. Prepare accurate financial reports for donors and management, assist with annual audits, and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis. This role supports the Controller at the National Association of Manufacturers, the largest manufacturing association in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience with accounting software – Sage Intacct (or similar ERP)
- Experience with SAP Concur invoice processing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong listening abilities
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, quality, goal, and deadline-driven environment
- Strong team player with good interpersonal relations
