Job Summary
Conduct general ledger accounting, financial close activities, and account reconciliations while ensuring proper documentation for all adjusting entries. Perform account analysis, support internal and external audits, and assist with SOX control compliance and documentation. Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests from departments and propose process improvements to automate and streamline accounting workflows. Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Treasury, and Operations teams to maintain the integrity of the bank's financial records.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years accounting experience in banking or related industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance for recent graduates with no experience in accounting
- Advanced PC skills required (Microsoft Word & Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency working in spreadsheets
- Ability to acquire and use new skills as job requires
- Ability to resolve outstanding issues with minimal supervision
- Possess strong time management skill and analytical skills
- Understands US GAAP
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) accounting issues to management, auditors and other staff
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities / projects under tight timeframes
