Staff Accountant II

Job Summary
Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end closes, then reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and inventory records to resolve discrepancies. Compile financial statements and management reports by analyzing general ledger activity, reviewing manufacturing variances, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. Partner with operations and inventory teams to maintain accurate records, while assisting with external audits, internal controls, and ERP system enhancements. Investigate unusual account activity and prepare ad hoc reports for leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with both finance and operations teams
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing, industrial, automotive, or distribution accounting experience
- Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing variance analysis
- ERP system experience such as Epicor, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, or a similar platform
- CPA designation or CPA candidate
- Experience supporting multi-location operations
