Job Summary
Staff Accountant responsible for the complete financial reporting and accounting of assigned funds and related legal entities using QuickBooks Enterprise; prepares month-end, quarter-end and year-end working papers with reconciliations; prepares monthly distributions to investors including Appfolio entry and supporting documentation; reports daily capital raises and maintains cumulative reports/graphs; reviews and processes accounts payable; assists auditors/tax preparers for entities and distribution of Form K-1s; coordinates with third-party property managers; records intercompany due to/due from and maintains balances; completes daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations and follow-up of unreconciled items; adheres to procedures for compliance and efficiency; provides required documentation and maintains source documents; develops automated accounting applications to increase productivity; keeps financial information confidential; collaborates with team; seeks information from others; prepares partnership taxable income, tax allocations and estimates; calculates quarterly withholdings for international investors; liaises with CPA firm for timely filing of tax returns; responds to investor-relations ad hoc requests.
Required Qualifications
- AA-BA in Accounting with 3-5 years of experience
- 3-5 years of experience in QuickBooks Enterprise
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's) and Advanced Word skill set
- Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines
- Self-motivated, comfortable taking initiative and possess superior organization skills
- Experience in the real estate industry a plus
- Tax Return preparation a plus
- This is full-time, in-office Monday to Friday position in our corporate office located in Aventura, FL
