Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets

Job Summary
Process and verify vendor invoices for fixed assets and vehicle-related purchases, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and receipts. Maintain accurate records of all fixed asset and vehicle payable transactions in the general ledger and reconcile these accounts monthly. Track and close out project-based fixed asset accounts upon completion while supporting asset analytics by compiling data for reporting on vehicle productivity and spending. Process general accounts payable duties including incoming invoices, applying discounts, and maintaining vendor records. Assist with month-end closing, prepare management reports, and support audits by providing documentation. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, five years of experience, and proficiency in Excel or Sage Intacct. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be necessary.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a study directly related to accounting
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency with software (Microsoft Excel, Sage Intacct or similar ERP/GL Software)
- Demonstrated understanding of business processes, work flow, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to be a self-starter
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with insurable driving record and reliable transportation
- Standard weekday schedule with occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Occasional travel (local, statewide, or national) may be required, including overnight stays
- Potential for hybrid work flexibility as approved
