Job Summary
Prepare monthly journal entries, perform general ledger reconciliations, and execute month-end and year-end close activities in accordance with GAAP. Analyze data to determine accruals, review clerks' work, and develop accounting procedures. Compile financial statements, prepare budget analyses, and generate reports using graphs and charts for stakeholders. Execute internal and cash audits, monitor 340b compliance, and prepare filings for federal, state, and local agencies including IRS Form 990. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, a minimum credit score of 650, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The position offers a salary range from $70,304 to $111,691.28.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses proficiency in written and verbal communication, basic mathematics, computer applications, and technical systems
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree program in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- A combination of relevant experience and completion of a high school diploma with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, or General Educational Development (GED) with a minimum overall score of 162.5, and healthcare-related knowledge
- Have a minimum of three years of experience demonstrating an understanding of accounting principles and U.S. GAAP requirements
- Have a minimum credit score of 650
- Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas, functions, lookup tables, and other standard spreadsheet elements
- Ability to develop sophisticated presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions, and other elements
- Ability to present to and work at any FHCN location, both at the beginning of a shift or during a shift, based on business need
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in the resolution of mild conflicts or disagreements
- Compiles, analyzes and prepares information in an effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles, or other documentation
- Effectively conveys technical information to non-technical audiences
- The employee is frequently required to stand or walk
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
