Job Summary
Prepare and post routine journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, reclasses, and month-end adjustments. Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, resolve variances, and support the monthly close process by ensuring accurate transaction recording. Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and bank reconciliations while maintaining accurate supporting documentation for audits. Identify process improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency within recurring close activities. Partner with finance, operations, and business teams to research accounting questions and support accurate financial reporting. This role is based in Plano, TX, for a full-time, non-salaried position with a 40-hour work week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Two years accounting experience
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe application programs
- Ability to learn company standard software
- Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Basic knowledge of accounting rules and regulations
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize as required
- Self-starter
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to apply principles of logic to daily routine practical problems
- Ability to make decisions requiring the use of different variables applied to standard situations
- Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree from a college or university
- Experience with Concur, Syteline, or equivalent software
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
