Job Summary
Staff Accountant responsible for reinforcing general ledger integrity through timely reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support, partnering with cross-functional teams to improve processes and internal controls, and contributing to audits and financial reporting. The role emphasizes analysis of general ledger activity, variance/root-cause analysis, documenting conclusions, and identifying practical automation opportunities to streamline close processes. The ideal candidate demonstrates accountability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal direction. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; 3+ years of accounting experience; US GAAP knowledge; ERP and Excel proficiency; CPA-eligible status a plus. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
- CPA (or CPA-eligible) a plus
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with ERP systems and month-end close processes (Oracle, IDE, SAP) preferred
- Ability to translate account activity and data analysis into clear, actionable information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
