Job Summary
Manage the maintenance of fiscal records, prepare monthly financial reports including property accounting and bank reconciliations, and lead complex calculations to ensure general ledger accuracy. Ensure all business transactions, accruals, adjustments, and account reconciliations are completed timely and accurately. Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial statements, review budgets and forecasts by analyzing variances, and maintain the Policies and Procedures Manual. Build rapport with internal staff and regional managers to ensure transactions reflect operations accurately while remaining current with regulations and tax laws. This role supports a collaborative mid-size team at Broadstreet Properties Ltd., a family-owned property management firm managing multi-family residential communities, offering in-house professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
- A high level of personal integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
- Strong problem-identification and resolution skills with a logical approach to analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- A general understanding of computerized accounting systems or ERPs
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet defined deadlines while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
Desired Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred; however, an equivalent combination of education and full-cycle accounting experience will be considered
- An interest in or active pursuit of a CPA designation
