Job Summary
Process accounts payable, review invoices for signatory authority and correct coding, and ensure timely payments per vendor terms. Assist with month-end and year-end closing by booking journal entries, reconciling accounts, identifying variances, and preparing financial statement schedules. Support accounts payable processes including invoice processing, vendor payments, and employee corporate card and reimbursement activities. Monitor AP and T&E inboxes to respond to inquiries, substantiate transactions with supporting documents, and assist with annual 1099 filings. Help implement internal controls, support budgeting activities, and prepare audit schedules for year-end audits and quarterly reviews. Hybrid location in Los Angeles, CA; salary $65,000–$80,000 plus bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1 - 2 years of progressive general accounting and/or corporate finance experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills (lookups, formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.)
- Ability to understand and apply company financial policies and procedures
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and integrity (including maintaining confidentiality)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and accurate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to learn quickly, apply new information, and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive results
Desired Qualifications
- CPA license
- Experience with NetSuite, Tipalti, or Ramp
- Major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1 - 2 years of progressive general accounting and/or corporate finance experience
