Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant for Mechanical Service Department responsible for managing accounting functions including service revenue recognition, job costing, accounts receivable, accounts payable support, payroll allocations, inventory tracking, and month-end close. Ensures accurate financial reporting for service operations, supports management with performance analysis, and maintains compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Key responsibilities include generating invoices, processing payments (checks, ACH, credit cards, cash), aging and collections, vendor invoice processing and three-way matching, vendor record maintenance (W-9s), payroll processing and prevailing wage reporting, cost-to-billing reconciliations, tracking change orders and project costs, ensuring subcontractor and supplier invoicing accuracy, and preparing monthly progress billings and financial statements.
