Job Summary
Staff Accountant (on-site at San Carlos office) responsible for supporting daily operations in the Property Accounting Department, including monthly reporting, tenant ledger transactions, owner communications, and bank reconciliations. Tasks include troubleshooting utility billing issues, printing rent increase letters, processing security deposits, recording tenant ledger activity, assisting with month-end close and related reporting, and preparing bank reconciliations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred), 1+ year accounting experience (real estate accounting preferred), GAAP knowledge, AppFolio familiarity, and strong attention to detail. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum of one year of accounting experience, preferably in real estate accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP and real estate accounting principles
- Appfolio experience preferred
- Accrual-based institutional financial reporting experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
