Job Summary
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and operative team while maintaining sterile technique and patient comfort. Prepare, organize, and maintain instruments and equipment using procedure preference cards, inspecting gear before use and reporting faulty items. Perform or assist with sterile preps, monitor aseptic technique, and immediately report breaks in sterility. Manage contaminated instruments and supplies, perform point-of-use cleaning, and complete room turnover tasks. Communicate proactively with the circulator regarding delays, specimen confirmation, and equipment issues. Recognize and report emergency situations promptly. Demonstrate flexibility with assignments and scheduling changes. Full-time, 40-hour days with educational assistance, dependent care support, and paid parental leave.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Surgical Technology experience
- Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English
- Must be able to safely and successfully perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
