Job Summary
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, set up operating rooms with sterile drapes, and maintain aseptic fields during procedures. Assist surgical teams with gowning, gloving, and anticipating surgeon needs while counting and documenting supplies. Transport patients to and from the operating room and collaborate closely with the team to ensure patient safety. This role requires CST certification or exam eligibility, BLS certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- CST certification or eligibility for CST exam
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to adhere to strict aseptic techniques
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients
- BLS certification required at time of hire- NMHC Standard
