Job Summary
Facilitate safe, efficient surgical procedures by preparing the operating suite and instruments, handing instruments to the surgeon, assisting with patient positioning and draping, maintaining instrument counts, and supporting hemostasis during surgery. Requires high school equivalency with completion of a surgical technologist program (clinical component) or 4+ years of applicable experience; associate/technical degree preferred. BLS certification is preferred (AHA/ARC accepted). Located at UAB St. Vincent's Blount in Oneonta, AL; PRN Days schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma equivalency AND completion of a surgical technologist program with a clinical component OR a minimum of 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
- BLS Provider (preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
