Job Summary
Facilitate safe, efficient surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining instruments and supplies, passing instruments to the surgeon, helping with patient positioning/draping, and tracking instrument counts. Requires completion of a surgical technologist program with clinical component or 4+ years of relevant experience; BLS preferred. Role supports a dayshift, full-time schedule in the main Operating Room, with potential night/weekend call. Provides sterile technique, assists with hemostasis, and contributes to overall patient care inside the Birmingham, AL OR setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma equivalency AND completion of a surgical technologist program with a clinical component OR a minimum of 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
Desired Qualifications
- BLS Provider preferred
