Job Summary
The Technical Field Advisor II provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for turbine generator systems. Responsible for reviewing plant engineering documents and P&ID’s, troubleshooting of plant systems and equipment, planning, organizing and directing resources to complete work per contract. Leads maintenance and repair of steam turbine equipment, participates in safety metrics, pre-outage planning, project management, and warranty administration. Requires travel (up to ~80%), ability to work holidays/weekends/overtime, and strong communication and leadership skills. Experience with GE/Alstom/Siemens equipment is preferred. A STEM degree or equivalent hands-on Steam Turbine experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on Steam Turbine experience or equivalent nuclear experience
- Willingness and ability to travel as required by field assignments
- Ability to obtain unescorted security clearance at nuclear power facilities
- English proficiency required
- Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments is required (80% travelling time)
